We first heard Bodyjar when they toured the states with Blink-182 and A New Found Glory in 2001. Also, in college we were pretty addicted to Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 - where the band's infectious hit "Not the Same" was prominently featured. When the band released Role Model in November last year, it was an incredibly welcome album from a band that had been dormant for over 8 years.
The band has aged extremely well - and songs on Role Model sound just as strong (if not stronger) than their earlier efforts.
UNFD made some incredible vinyl pressings of the album - and we're very fortunate to be able to release a limited amount of them stateside. Starting today, you can "pre-order" a copy of the album - and we'll be importing them from Australia. Only folks who pre-order the record can be guaranteed a copy (otherwise, when these sell out, you'll have to order from UNFD and pay for shipping from Australia, which is not awesome - I can tell you that.)
Check out the variants and listen to my favorite song, "Hope Was Leaving" (featuring Joey Cape from Lagwagon) below:
