We're very pleased to be releasing New Wage from Boardroom Heroes.

The 5 songs on the EP were recorded at Salad Days Studio with Brian McTernan - someone I hold in the absolute highest regard.  His ability to get the most out of a band during the recording process is extremely impressive.  I got to see it first-hand during Pinsky's Weekends sessions - and I was fortunate enough to be a fly on the wall again during the recording of New Wage.  Both he and the band delivered.

One thing I've noticed in these recordings is the growth in the skill of the guitar lines.  Stephen Parsons and Drew Champion (recently replaced, amicably, by Nick Freese) were welcome additions that added a subtle complexity to the songs.  It goes without saying that Andre and Augusto Pagliarini absolutely hold down the rhythm section - I guess I've grown so accustomed to their talents that it's almost unfairly expected of them at this point.  It's still punk rock - it's still fast - but there's a very apparent growth in these songs.  The band's last release, Another Year, will always have a place in my heart, but New Wage is the sound of a band that is firing on all cylinders.
