“Prop House is the truth.” is a text message I received from Brackish frontman Connor Byrne when he approached me about putting out a split between the two bands - and he could not have been more right.

The New Jersey five-piece delivers high-octane post-punk and post-hardcore with huge hooks. Anchored in the vibrant music community surrounding Asbury Park, the group features frontman Ian Beattie alongside Thomas Babjak, Rudy Meier, Eric James Guy Friedman, and Biff Swenson.

Backed by strong ties to active Garden State outfits like Yawn Mower and Bristler, the band pairs gritty guitar work with propulsive rhythms and dynamic, emotionally charged hooks. Prop House established their distinct voice through a series of focused, hard-hitting short-form singles, highlighted by releases like Sprue, Vector, and Epoxy, showcasing a raw yet melodic sonic identity.
