Tired Radio & Port Maria

HEY GUYS WE’RE BACK ON THE SCENE!

After a bit of a hiatus, we’re extremely excited about a couple brand new projects at Sinking Ship Records!

Tired Radio - Patterns (Vinyl)

We’re partnering with Engineer Records in the UK to put out Tired Radio’s excellent debut album Patterns on vinyl. I’m floored by the band’s debut - they recorded it with Matt Weber (Young Statues, A Great Big Pile of Leaves) at Gradwell House in Haddon Heights, NJ. I’ve been extremely impressed by the music and the lyrics on this record. It’s fuzzy. It’s desperate. It’s loud. It’s grittier than I can pull off, so I respect that.

I’ve also been blown away by how good the guys in the band are - just like… as people. Anthony’s an incredibly sweet, passionate bandleader - and I can’t wait to see the play live when we’re all allowed back in clubs.

The pressing for this album will be a run of 300 units - with 200 in pink vinyl and 100 in clear w/ pink splatter (which is exclusive to SSR in the US). You can pre-order the record here.

I’d be remiss not to mention that there are a bunch of other labels involved in the pressing, worldwide. In the US, check out Hobo Wolfman and Pyrrhic Victory Recordings. Abroad, check out Just Say Not to Government Records, Sonic Slap, We Are Sharks and Shield Recordings.

Port Maria - Lights Out (Single)

We also released two brand new songs from Port Maria (“Lights Out” b/w “Turned to Ghosts”). It’s sing-along punk rock, but tastefully done. If you dig early 00s-era punk rock (like Midtown, Hot Rod Circuit, No Motiv or Loses-Control-era Hey Mercedes), this will totally scratch that itch. You can check it out on all streaming services including our Bandcamp.

Lights Out was recorded with Mike Oettinger at Cannon Found Soundation. Will Beasley mixed the songs and Paul Leavitt mastered them.
